Salary: $17.40 to $18.40 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be physically capable of performing demanding tasks, be able to walk as needed, and work under pressure

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be client-focused, have efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, be flexible, and be able to take initiative
  • The candidates should be organized and be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to advise on wine selection and serve wine, balance and deposit cash, and liaise between chefs and customers
  • The candidates should be able to order and receive liquor and other supplies, maintain inventories, inspect dining rooms and other food and beverage serving areas, and deposit cash and maintain daily log books
  • The candidates should be able to maintain financial records, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and answer customers’ questions regarding menu items and preparation methods
  • The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs, attend to seating arrangements for large groups, greet customers, and perform opening and closing activities
  • The candidates should be able to provide general information on community services, receive customers’ reservations and assign tables, and receive payments from customers
