Position: Hotel executive housekeeper
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 48 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Mississauga, ON
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, and Public transportation is available
Work setting: 50 – 100 rooms, Relocation costs covered by employer, and Hotel, motel, resort
Supervision: 5-10 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to handle weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • The candidates should possess attention to detail in their work
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit dependability in fulfilling their duties and be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities and possess interpersonal awareness for effective communication
  • The candidates should display flexibility in their work approach

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to establish and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department, plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews, and schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff
  • The candidates should be able to select and purchase equipment and supplies, maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms, and coordinate in-house laundry services
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate inspection of assigned areas, ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met, and respond to complaints of guests
  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff, coordinate contract services, and conduct performance evaluations and appraisals
  • The candidates should be able to supervise maintenance and repair services, coordinate maintenance and repair services, and ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
