Salary: $30.00 to $50.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, On Call, Early Morning, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems: Rooftop (self-contained), heat pump, air motioning and circulation, filtration, built-up (split system), humidification and dehumidification system, ventilation, and cooling towe
Credentials: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate, Level one apprenticeship training, level two apprenticeship training, and level three apprenticeship training
Own tools/equipment: Tools

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically fit to handle a demanding workload and capable of handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
  • The candidates should possess manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize punctuality and be accurate in their work
  • The candidates should have a strong client focus, be dependable, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The candidates should be flexible in handling various job responsibilities, show initiative in their work, exercise good judgment, and be reliable collaborative team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to measure and lay out reference points for installation, assemble, and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
  • The candidates should be capable of measuring, cutting, and connecting piping using welding and brazing equipment, providing customer service
  • The candidates should be able to start up the system, test for leaks using testing devices, recharge the system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate the system, and perform routine maintenance or servicing
  • The candidates should possess the ability to interpret gas codes, handle, recover, and store refrigerants
  • The candidates should be skilled in installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment in refrigerated trucks used to transport food or medical supplies, as well as repairing and replacing parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
