Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as BA or BSc in Computer Science, and Engineering
Experience: Candidates should have IT Project management experience of at least 12 years

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience managing IT projects, either in Business or IT Infrastructure domains
  • The candidates should possess a PMP certification
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate Project Management Processes to business and service providers
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to persuade, convince, influence, or impress others

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead project management activities in the Pod throughout the entire project lifecycle using Agile methodology and other delivery methods to deliver complex technology-enabled solutions and services
  • The candidates should be able to serve as a coach, mentor, and facilitator of Agile practices by helping the Pod team organize their workflow, prioritize efforts based on release requirements, apply Agile methods more effectively, and otherwise optimize their performance
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization and able to manage and maintain MS Project Plans, develop action plans for issues, track risk mitigation plans, and make recommendations as necessary to advance projects
  • The candidates should be able to manage and provide consultative services and specialized expertise in information-technology areas and able to maintain logs to track issues, action items, risks, queries, and change management for each project
  • The candidates should be able to manage and report on project metrics including progress, earned value metrics, baseline, forecast and actual dates, costs, and scope and able to prepare project status reports for Project Control Office review and approval
  • The candidates should be able to create and maintain a project library and coordinate the collection and filing of project documentation
  • The candidates should be able to review project and project status files for integrity, accuracy, and timeliness and able to design, develop, or coordinate the use of project facilities, ensuring that technical and physical resources are available to meet project requirements
  • The candidates should be able to negotiate contracts and contract changes, project change orders, work schedules, and requirements changes as required to meet project objectives and should be able to review and approve invoices and charges
  • The candidates should be able to cooperate with other areas of IM/IT in the application of standards, methodologies, and architectures and able to manage and motivate staff and contractors on projects to deliver project methodologies
  • The candidates should be able to ensure resources deliver desired results within budget and schedule and able to negotiate and influence the behavior of vendors and service providers to achieve desired results
  • The candidates should be able to communicate and translate Hydro One Strategies and direction to staff, contractors, and vendors to align project objectives in achieving goals within the Strategy
  • The candidates should be able to build team alignment amongst staff, contractors, and vendor personnel with diverse backgrounds, many of whom will be working together for the first time, during the duration of a project
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate business acumen by translating technical options into business objectives and able to resolve technical, business, and personnel issues and escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner to supervisors
