Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, perform physically demanding tasks, and pay attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, bend, crouch, and kneel, and demonstrate manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual, demonstrate dependability, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and be flexible

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and maintain daycare equipment
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
