Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an undergraduate degree
Experience: Candidates should have 5 years of experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be aware that the normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
  • The candidates should be prepared to work overtime on occasion

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be exceptional communicators (verbal and written) who are decisive with sound analytical and negotiation skills
  • The candidates should have previous experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, demonstrating sound judgment and discretion and acceptable combination of training and experience
  • The candidates should value a diverse and inclusive workplace and be proficient using Microsoft Office programs with experience working in a computerized environment
  • The candidates should own a vehicle in working condition, have a valid driver’s license, and possess an insurance certificate for this position
  • The candidates should have a working knowledge and understanding of legislation, policies, procedures, and directives governing the Apprenticeship System
  • The candidates should be prepared to be assessed using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral and PowerPoint presentations, interviews, and reference checks
  • The candidates should, if relying on education and experience equivalencies, demonstrate such equivalencies in their application

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to implement and monitor the policies and procedures of the Agency
  • The candidates should be able to perform recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessments, trade qualification assessments, and approvals
  • The candidates should be able to verify individuals’ eligibility for federal and provincial grants as well as awards
  • The candidates should be able to participate in, or serve as a resource for, invigilating exams and manage class intakes
  • The candidates should be able to serve on various projects, task teams, and committees
