Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials:Â Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers and develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to perform storytelling and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to discuss the progress and problems of children at staff meetings and attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
- The candidates should be able to supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
