Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of an Interprovincial Journeyperson Certification in Electrical as a bona fide
Experience: Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in the field as a journeyperson Electrician
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have 2 years of instructional experience in the field of Electrical, either in post-secondary education or supervising Electricians
- The candidates should have 2 years of experience working in the Northern construction sector
- The candidates should complete the CAEd course, including the Instructional Skills Workshop, within the first four months of employment as a bona fide requirement of the job
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan, organize, instruct, deliver, and evaluate educational programming for adult learners effectively
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with other instructors to deliver courses such as the Trades Awareness Program, Building Trades Helper Program, and other programs within the School of Trades, Apprenticeship, and Industrial Training
- The candidates should be able to assist in delivering the Apprenticeship Electrician Program, focusing on developing and delivering high-quality programs and courses
- The candidates should be able to support the positive career development of adult students within the communities of the Northwest Territories
- The candidates should be able to attend regular program meetings and provide supervisors with consistent updates on student progress
- The candidates should be able to represent the College positively within the community, contributing to the promotion of its image and initiatives
