Salary: $40,000 to $55,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 37.5 hours per week

Location: 2 Valleywood Dr. Markham, ON L3R 8H3
Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly, and Travel expenses paid by employer
Work setting: Urban area, Boarding house/school, Elementary school, Private school, and High school

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adept at working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be proficient in efficient interpersonal skills, skilled in excellent oral communication, and adept in excellent written communication
  • The candidates should be organized and reliable

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to counsel students regarding educational, career, vocational, personal, and social issues, and consult with teachers, parents, administrators, community agencies, and coordinate the provision of counseling and information services to them
  • The candidates should be able to refer students to other specialized services when required, develop guidance and counseling programs, and present the views of an association or organization to members, the media, and the general public
  • The candidates should be able to delegate work to office support staff, administer policies and procedures related to the release of records, oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures, and perform data entry
  • The candidates should be able to review, evaluate, and implement new administrative procedures, establish work priorities, ensure procedures are followed, and deadlines are met, and assemble data to prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence
