Salary: $17.00 to $21.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 37.5 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and handle heavy loads more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should focus on clients, demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, and be a team player
• The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills and be punctual

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, and maintain professionalism in customer service
• The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, assemble, install and set-up merchandise/products, and keep a record of items received and delivered
• The candidates should be able to prepare, package and restock goods, load and unload goods, and sort packages for delivery
• The candidates should be able to follow directions and read maps, use maps and other trip planning aids, and record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
• The candidates should be able to provide customer service and perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
