Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Generators, Turbines, Conventional electrical devices, Dry cell and storage batteries, Fibre optics, High voltage equipment, Instrumentation, Microwave telecommunications equipment, Motors and controls, Solid state devices, Programmable logic controller (PLC), Hand tools, and HVACÂ
Credentials: Electrician Trade Certification, North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) solar heating installer Certification, Working at heights training, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, CADD Course, Propane in Construction Record of Training, Confined Space Entry Training, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Construction Electrician Red Seal Certificate, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install and replace electrical controls and panel boxes, and design and construct both single-phase and low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations
- The candidates should be able to install underground wiring and cables, splice, join, and connect wires, and install surface mount and/or overhead cables
- The candidates should be able to test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and circuit integrity, and determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and isolate faults, connect power to audio and visual equipment, and install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems
- The candidates should be able to ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures, including swimming pools and hot tubs, and supervise other workers
- The candidates should be able to keep maintenance reports and documentation, estimate costs and materials, and conduct preventive maintenance programs
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and demonstrate professionalism in customer service
