Salary: $36.00 to $42.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 36 to 50 hours per week

Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Gas Fitter Trade Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail
• The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and be comfortable standing for extended periods
• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate dependability and maintain a positive attitude
• The candidates should be a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to install gas heating units and their components, measure and mark reference points for gas lines and equipment, and service gas heating units
• The candidates should be able to prepare tenders and quotations, instruct apprentices, and study drawings and specifications for installation layout and material requirements
• The candidates should be able to test and adjust control mechanisms, check pipes for gas leaks using detecting devices, and install and service propane and natural gas filling stations
• The candidates should be able to test and replace defective equipment or components
