Job Description:

Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 hourly for 40 to 48 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: North Milton, PE
Work Setting: Various locations, Commercial and Residential
Work Site Environment: Candidates should work in confined spaces and wet or damp place
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need experience of 5 years or more
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: Candidates must have Plumber Red Seal Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidate should be physically strong
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be able for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- The candidate should be able to install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- The candidate should be able to instruct apprentices
- The candidate should be able to cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- The candidate should be able to join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- The candidate should be able to test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- The candidate should be able to supervise other workers
- The candidate should be able to locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- The candidate should be able to measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
