Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, and Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Backflow prevention Certification, Plumber Trade Certification, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Confined Space Entry Training, Well Pump License, Plumber Red Seal Certificate, and Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in confined spaces and wet/damp environments
- The candidates should be capable of meeting the physically demanding requirements of the role, proficient in bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary, and possess good hand-eye coordination skills
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads safely and effectively and be willing to work overtime as required by the demands of the job
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining physical fitness and coordination

Candidate Status:

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications, determining the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
- The candidates should be able to install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, ensuring their functionality
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices, providing guidance and training in plumbing techniques and practices
- The candidates should be able to locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors, ensuring accurate installations
- The candidates should be able to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, facilitating proper plumbing installations
- The candidates should be able to join pipes using various methods such as couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment, ensuring secure connections
- The candidates should be able to schedule personnel, tools, and equipment efficiently to meet project timelines and requirements
- The candidates should be able to test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, ensuring the integrity of the plumbing systems
- The candidates should be able to determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing, ensuring proper flow and functionality
- The candidates should be able to estimate costs and materials accurately, ensuring project budgets are met
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size, facilitating proper installations and connections
