Job Description:

Salary: $40.00 to $46.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: 07:30 to 16:30
Transportation information: Vehicle Supplied by Employer and Valid Driver’s License

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Tools and Steel-toed Safety Boots
Credentials: Plumber Trade Certification
Security and safety: Basic Security Clearance and Driving Record Check (Abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks and bend, crouch, and kneel

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be accurate, be client-focused, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should work as a team player and have a positive attitude

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems and read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
  • The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices and locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • The candidates should be able to join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment and determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • The candidates should be able to measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
