Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP, or equivalent experience, Nursing assistant/aide and patient care assistant/aide, Practical nursing, vocational nursing and nursing assistants
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, CPR Certificate, and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, immunization records, vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and have strong attention to detail
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client-focused, dependable, and flexible
- The candidates should take initiative, adhere to values and ethics, and be adaptable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications, ensure infection control, and take vital signs
- The candidates should be able to monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, provide nursing services within a defined scope of practice, and provide skin and personal care
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, plan physiotherapy programs, and monitor health care programs
- The candidates should be able to instruct patients regarding oral hygiene, co-ordinate in-house laundry services, and apply food safety and handling skills
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking, perform light cleaning duties, and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to provide nursing care, administer first aid in emergency situations, and monitor recreational, sports, or fitness activities for safety
- The candidates should be able to ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations, and administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists
- The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
