Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 20 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials:Â Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, CPR Certificate, and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check, Immunization records, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be focused on clients, should be dependable, should be flexible
- The candidate should show initiative, should have values and ethics, should be adaptable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications and ensure infection control and take vital signs
- The candidates should be able to monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy and provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- The candidates should be able to provide skin care and personal care and prepare and serve nutritious meals
- The candidates should be able to plan physiotherapy programs and monitor health care programs and instruct patients regarding oral hygiene
- The candidates should be able to co-ordinate in-house laundry services and demonstrate food safety/handling skills and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidates should be able to perform light cleaning duties and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene and provide nursing care
- The candidates should be able to administer first aid in emergency situations and monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
- The candidates should be able to ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations and administer eye drops, ointments and medications as directed by ophthalmologists
- The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
