Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a secondary school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have one year of laboratory experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively with others in a team environment and capable of working independently and following instructions precisely
  • The candidates should be detail-oriented and capable of working in a highly regulated environment and manual dexterity
  • The candidates should be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, and be able to return to site within 30 minutes during on-call shifts and the physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in a regulated, manufacturing environment and superior multi-tasking skills
  • The candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including legible handwriting

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to receive orders, select, issue, dispatch, and pack blood, blood components, and fractionation products to hospitals according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • The candidates should be able to prepare shipments of units to the fractionation plant and operate a computer terminal and other automated equipment
  • The candidates should be able to maintain an adequate stock of supplies and prepare weekly supply orders
  • The candidates should be able to perform maintenance of equipment and end-label and store products
  • The candidates should be able to observe laboratory hygiene and safety regulations and precautions and perform other department-related tasks
