Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Post-secondary education, technology or sciences, or enrollment in a science related discipline
Experience: Candidates should have previous lab or food science experience

  • The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment in a food processing plant
  • The candidates should have the ability to consistently follow precise procedures, possess excellent hand-eye coordination, and be a self-starter
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate and work well with others
  • The candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards and procedures

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to gather samples from the production floor for product testing and test samples for compliance
  • The candidates should be able to prepare media for plating samples, plate samples for incubation, and read them when appropriate
  • The candidates should be able to complete all documentation required for testing product sampling and the verification of results and ensure good manufacturing practices and procedures are followed as outlined in the written HACCP plan
  • The candidates should be able to conduct product monitoring checks and complete product evaluations
  • The candidates should be able to conduct pre-operational activities, including visual inspection and food contact surface swabbing
