Stovel-siemon Ltd based in Mitchell, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Laborer, field and vegetable crops. Stovel-siemon Ltd was established in the early 50’s. It is now run by the second generation, with the third on the way. We are grower, packer and distributor of RUTABAGAS, carrots, cabbage, romaine lettuce, hot house tomatoes & clusters, cucumbers, Beets and peppers. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Vegetable harvester, Planting equipment, Farm truck, Lift truck, Tractor
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to do other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
- The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work in confined spaces, wet/damp area, noisy area, odours, dusty area, and cold/refrigerated area
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to do hoeing crops
- The candidates should be able to do stone and/or wood picking
- The candidates should be able to do weeding
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports
