Salary: $20.50 to $40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 45 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time – On the road job
Location: Onanole, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer, willing to travel regularly, valid driver’s license; public transportation is not available
Work setting: Remote location, various locations, rural area, and equipment operation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Construction specialization: Roads and bridges
Equipment and machinery experience: Bobcats, concrete vibrators, circular saws, concrete saws, mortar and concrete mixers, grinding machine, jackhammers, air compressors, drills, small front end loaders, chain saw, forklift, and sledgehammer
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, gloves, cellular phone, and safety vest
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, able to work in noisy environments, dusty, and hot conditions
- The candidates should be capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and working effectively under pressure.
- The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and be comfortable with repetitive tasks.
- The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail.
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and be able to handle heavy loads.
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability in fulfilling their responsibilities and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to effectively load, unload, and transport construction materials and assist heavy equipment operators efficiently
- The candidates should be proficient in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, as well as in assisting heavy equipment operators
- The candidates should be able to accurately mix, pour, and spread materials, pave and rake asphalt, and assist in demolishing buildings effectively
- The candidates should be able to meticulously level earth to fine grade specifications, clean and pile salvaged materials accurately, and perform routine maintenance work diligently
- The candidates should be able to efficiently remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction appropriately, and direct traffic at or near construction sites professionally
