Ginger Beef Choice LTD based in Calgary, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Labourer – food and beverage processing. Ginger Beef Choice LTD is a custom food manufacturer specializing in frozen Asian cuisine. Our company markets, manufactures, and distributes an extensive product line of frozen ready-to-eat meals for the growing home meal replacement, frozen food, and food service sectors. Over the last 40 plus years, Ginger Beef has continued to develop into Calgary’s leading Chinese takeout brand.  The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Job Description:

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Early Morning, Morning, 06:00 to 15:00
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Mandarin and Cantonese
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be capable of working in hot, cold/refrigerated, or wet/damp environments, and be prepared for physically demanding tasks, repetitive tasks, and tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as handling loads up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate reliability and possess strong team player skills

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

• The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
