Salary: $18.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 80 to 100 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Edmonton, AB
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Cleaning and Snow removal
Equipment and machinery experience: Chain saw, Pick-up truck, Roto-tiller, Small engine equipment, Sod cutter, Tractor mower, Weed trimmer/edger, and Skid steer
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be physically fit for demanding tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and have strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, tie and secure plants, and weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
- The candidates should be able to cut grass, rake and collect refuse, and remove litter and garbage
- The candidates should be able to cart and spread topsoil and other materials, lay sod or seed, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
- The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
