Salary: $28.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Chain saw, front end loader, pick-up truck, small engine equipment, sod cutter, tractor, tractor mower, and weed trimmer/edge
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, and Gloves
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines, handle repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and manage physically demanding work
  • The candidates should have manual dexterity, pay attention to detail, and have hand-eye coordination
  • The candidates should be able to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, walk regularly, and bend, crouch, and kneel

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be dependable, efficient in interpersonal skills, and flexible
  • The candidates should be organized, reliable, and team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, tie and secure plants, and weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
  • The candidates should be able to cut grass, rake and collect refuse, and remove litter and garbage
  • The candidates should be able to cart and spread topsoil and other materials, lay sod or seed, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, repair and maintain equipment, and write daily basic progress reports
  • The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
