Salary: $18.88 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Richmond, BC
Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and a repetitive taskers
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work in a cold/refrigerated areas
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should have food safety/handling skills, and be able to transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials, feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers
- The candidates should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors, manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- The candidates should be able to feed and unload processing machines, check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- The candidates should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
