Salary: $17.00 to $22.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer, Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Landscape contractor, Sport field, Landscape maintenance, On-site customer service

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Front end loader, Chain saw, Pick-up truck, Roto-tiller, Small engine equipment, Sod cutter, Sprayer or duster, Tractor, Weed trimmer/edger, Tractor mower
Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety harness, Safety vest, Gloves, Ear plugs, Cellular phone, Mask

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
• The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
• The candidates should be able to work at heights, in wet/damp area, noisy area, odours, outdoors, hot area, and dusty area

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be client focus, dependable, organized, flexible, and reliable
• The candidates should efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions
• The candidates should be able to weed, prune and trim trees and plants, cut grass
• The candidates should be able to rake and collect refuse, lay sod or seed
• The candidates should be able to remove litter and garbage
• The candidates should be able to cart and spread topsoil and other materials
• The candidates should be able to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, apply fertilizers
• The candidates should be able to repair and maintain equipment, write daily basic progress reports
