Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly (to be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 260 Riverside Drive, North Vancouver, BC V7H 2M2
Shifts: Day, Morning
Work setting: Urban area, Landscape contractor, Various locations, Landscape maintenance, Private residence, Construction company, Commercial and/or industrial construction

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
  • The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
  • The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp areas, in a noisy area, in odors, in outdoors, in hot areas, in dusty areas, and in dangerous areas

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be dependable, organized, flexible, reliable
  • The candidates should be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, weed, prune and trim trees and plants
  • The candidates should be able to cut grass, rake and collect refuse, remove litter and garbage
  • The candidates should be able to cart and spread topsoil and other materials, lay sod or seed
  • The candidates should be able to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
