Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Scarborough, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer and valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Chain saw, front end loader, pick-up truck, roto-tiller, small engine equipment, sod cutter, sprayer or duster, tractor, tractor mower, and weed trimmer/edger
Own tools/equipment: Tools, safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, safety harness, safety vest, gloves, ear plugs, mask, and cellular phone
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and carry out physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate manual dexterity, pay attention to detail, and have hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours, manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client-focused, dependable, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should be flexible, organized, and reliable
- The candidates should be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, weed, prune and trim trees and plants, and cut grass
- The candidates should be able to rake and collect refuse, remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials
- The candidates should be able to lay sod or seed, plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, and apply fertilizers
- The candidates should be able to repair and maintain equipment and write daily basic progress reports
