Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language

Experience: Candidates should have three years of experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under all weather conditions and may be required to work long and varied hours
- The candidates should be available to work the following hours May 1 – October 31: Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM and November 1 – April 30: Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have an equivalent combination of education and experience and completed some related landscape courses
- The candidates should possess a valid Provincial Class “G” driver’s license and have the physical ability to perform required duties
- The candidates should have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to trim, cut, and water grass and flowers, rake and collect leaves, lay sod, and maintain soft landscaping by aerating, weeding, cultivating, and fertilizing
- The candidates should be able to drive and operate a variety of landscape and snow removal vehicles and equipment, including tools for tree maintenance, turf care, chainsaws, sod cutters, riding vacuums, snow maintenance vehicles, tractors, and skid steers
- The candidates should be able to set up vehicles and equipment for use, performing simple adjustments, load and unload equipment onto vehicles
- The candidates should be able to work on cleaning details using appropriate vehicles and equipment, including the removal of graffiti, posters, and abandoned or illegally locked bicycles
- The candidates should be able to work on snow and ice removal details using the appropriate vehicles and equipment
- The candidates should be able to work on moving details using the appropriate vehicles and equipment
- The candidates should be able to maintain landscape irrigation and other landscape-related systems
- The candidates should be able to provide instruction to Service Worker – Grounds staff in performing assigned tasks and perform other related duties
