Job Description:

Salary: $27.50 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Surrey, BC

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Landscaping experience: Residential projects, Commercial and/or industrial construction, Institutional construction, Park and recreation sites

• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various situations
• The candidates should be organized in their approach to tasks and responsibilities
• The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and deadlines
• The candidates should be a team player, capable of collaborating effectively with others

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to manage landscaping projects
• The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products
• The candidates should be able to apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting with treatment solutions
• The candidates should be able to assess the health of lawns
• The candidates should be able to direct crews who maintain the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes
• The candidates should be able to examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases
• The candidates should be able to plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes
• The candidates should be able to plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures
• The candidates should be able to plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens, and be able to plant and move trees
