Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous Lead Station Attendant or supervisory experience within an airport ground operation

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have availability to work rotating shift patterns over a 24-hour period, including weekends and holidays
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Please refer to the Transport Canada website for details
  • The candidates should be self-starters, self-motivated, and capable of working within strict timelines to maintain on-time performance while prioritizing safety
  • The candidates should be eligible to work in Canada, possess a valid driver’s license, as driving heavy equipment on the airside and lift 70lbs repetitively

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate strong leadership qualities and communication skills to delegate tasks and make time-critical decisions effectively
  • The candidates should be able to pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test and be available to attend and successfully complete an eight (8) to ten (10) week full-time paid training program
  • The candidates should be safety and security conscious, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to take responsibility for the safe and efficient on-loading and off-loading of cargo and customer baggage while preparing aircraft for arrival and departure
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate and coordinate with the crew and all stakeholders for operational flight activities
  • The candidates should be able to marshal or tow aircraft to gate positions for customer boarding and deplaning
  • The candidates should be able to drive and operate aircraft servicing vehicles and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with established corporate uniform and safety equipment standards
