Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have medical degree, postgraduate fellowship training, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess certification in Anesthesia (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- The candidates should must have proven clinical skills at a high level, evidence of demonstrated excellence in research and/or education, and a commitment to teaching students, residents, and fellows
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide anesthetic care throughout the surgical and obstetric programs, including supervision and teaching of students, residents, and fellows
- The candidates should be able to provide on-call services in rotation
- The candidates should be able to participate in formal in-house and University teaching programs, as well as hospital administrative duties
- The candidates should be able to seize academic opportunities for research and teaching
- The candidates should be able to manage protected time awarded according to a merit-based system
- The candidates should be able to undertake major clinical responsibilities and facilitate research, teaching, and education by others
- The candidates should be able to conduct teaching concurrently with clinical care and/or in organized educational programs
