Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have an experience in customer service
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle
- The candidates should be able to spend most of their day outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers on their route
- The candidates should demonstrate physical capability, including the ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
- The candidates should be adaptable to working in all types of weather conditions
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for a minimum of 3 years, and a driver’s abstract is required
- The candidates should have the availability to be on-call as part of their commitment to the role
- The candidates should exhibit proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking French
- The candidates should possess experience in making deliveries or working as a driver, contributing to their relevant skills and background
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to start their day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries
- The candidates should be able to return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery
