Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
Experience: Candidates should have Labor and delivery experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- The candidates should possess a current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- The candidates should expect training in obstetrics, which is offered on site
- The candidates should consider neonatal resuscitation an asset but not required; training in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is to be expected and is offered on site
- The candidates should be prepared for cross-training to other nursing departments within CLHCC
