Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of an accredited practical nurse education program – Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) – Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be individuals who have undergone a satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search before their first day of work
  • The candidates should be individuals who understand that all employees have an ongoing duty to disclose any charges or convictions that may arise during their employment with AHS

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work effectively within an inter professional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • The candidates should be able to rely on their education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, as well as follow AHS policies and procedures as guidance
  • The candidates should be able to understand that they will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS
