Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Elderly
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be adept at bending, crouching, and kneeling and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for physically demanding work
- The candidates should be comfortable with sitting, capable of standing for extended periods, and proficient at walking
- The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality and have a strong focus on client needs
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and excel in oral communication
- The candidates should show flexibility and take initiative in their tasks
- The candidates should be organized and reliable in their responsibilities
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including assisting clients in water, such as in a pool
- The candidates should be able to administer medications and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, for example, walking, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder
- The candidates should be able to change non-sterile dressings, feed or assist in feeding, and mend clothing and linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provide companionship, and provide personal care
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals
