Salary: $20.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Willing to relocate, and Employer’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Credentials: Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be non-smoking and able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, including bending, crouching, and kneeling
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs), manage physically demanding tasks, and stand for extended periods
• The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required and perform repetitive tasks

• The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
• The candidates should be flexible, organized, and have patience

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including administering medications and assisting clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, change non-sterile dressings, and collect specimens
• The candidates should be able to launder and mend clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and plan therapeutic diets and menus
• The candidates should be able to provide companionship, personal care, and shop for food and household supplies, including preparing and serving nutritious meals and cooking
