Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate And Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and perform repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to handle weight and handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be punctual, client-focused, and excellent in oral communication
• The candidates should take initiative, be organized, and be patient
• The candidates should be honest

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens, and mend clothing and linens
• The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provide companionship, and provide personal care
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals and cook

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
