Salary: $21.91 hourly for 30 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation provided, Urban area, Work in employer’s/client’s home, and Relocation costs covered by employer
Target audience: Adults, Elderly, Females, and Persons with a disability
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and prefer a scent-free environment
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
- The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
- The candidates should be familiar with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to lift between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including administering medications
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship, personal care, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
