Salary: $16.00 to $22.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 60 to 70 hours bi-weekly

Shifts: Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available, Willing to travel, and Willing to travel regularly

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Experience with special needs children: Autistic children, Children with an intellectual disability, Children with learning disabilities, and Children with behavioural issues
Credentials: Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Certificate, Emergency child care first aid and CPR, and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks and handle repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to maintain attention to detail while working and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should focus on clients, be flexible, and take initiative
• The candidate should use good judgment, be organized, and be reliable
• The candidate should manage time effectively, have patience, and be honest

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties and wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
• The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home and organize activities such as games and outings for children
• The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children and take children to and from school and to appointments
• The candidates should be able to tend to emotional well-being of children and help children with homework
• The candidates should be able to cook and provide assistance to students with special needs
• The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs
