Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have at least 4 years of industry-related experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and a security check
  • The candidates should be available to work nights, evenings, days, weekends, and holidays, with night shift being the permanent position for this posting (subject to change with seniority)
  • The candidates should have the ability to pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit
  • The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of employment offer and are responsible for securing any required work permits, visas or other authorizations

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have completed a recognized apprenticeship program and possess a Transport Canada AME M2 or M1 license
  • The candidates should possess a valid driver’s license and possess a restricted radio operator’s permit
  • The candidates should conduct safety-critical work meeting Air Canada medical standards, including medical evaluation, drug, and alcohol testing, and remain free of intoxicating substances
  • The candidates should be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations, as per Transport Canada regulations

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance effectively
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and demonstrate proficiency with computers and diagnostic tools
  • The candidates should be able to work as “team players” with excellent written and verbal communication skills, maintaining a customer-focused attitude in demanding and high-stress environments
