Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post-secondary diploma in international logistics
Experience: Candidates should have 5 to 7 years of experience in logistics operations
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be extremely well organized and detail-oriented and ability to take initiative and independently prioritize their own work
- The candidates should have outstanding ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have good computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and an aptitude to learn new software
- The candidates should be fluent in English and bilingual, with additional languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese
- The candidates should have knowledge of Letters of Credit, applications, rules, and practices
- The candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Listening, Written, and Verbal) and strong problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to process shipments through an order management system and plan transportation in SAP and issue loading instructions to the carrier(s) and supplier(s)
- The candidates should be able to prepare or compile documentation required for the shipment and ownership transfer of product, negotiate documents with banks for letter of credit payment terms
- The candidates should be able to invoice and forward documents to the customer as per the contract of sale, secure payment through Letters of Credit
- The candidates should be able to monitor shipments in transit and troubleshoot any logistical issues to ensure customer service levels are not impacted and act as a liaison with the customer for all post-sale communications
- The candidates should be able to cost freight in a timely manner, approve, track, and ensure payment of freight and storage invoices
- The candidates should be able to compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and order fulfillment, and prepare reports on logistics performance measures
- The candidates should be able to maintain databases of logistics information, ensure accurate and timely delivery of products in the most cost-effective manner
- The candidates should be able to administer documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- The candidates should be able to reduce incremental storage, demurrage, and freight costs related to any service issues
