Salary: $28.85 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Driver logbook, and Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip)
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling loads weighing up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, and perform brake adjustments
- The candidates should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs, pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of the vehicle, and perform preventive maintenance
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, as well as record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
