Supervision: Heavy duty equipment mechanics

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Equipment and machinery experience: Hoses and Hydraulic system
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract) and Driver’s validity licence check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy loads
• The candidates should demonstrate strong manual dexterity and be attentive to detail in their work
• The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday and stand for extended periods as required by the job
• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as part of their duties

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to fill out product inspection reports and check and monitor product quality
• The candidates should be able to train or assist in the training of other workers and operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind, or buff rubber products into final form
• The candidates should be able to inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards, making minor adjustments or repairs as needed
• The candidates should be able to adjust machinery and equipment to proper settings, mark and re-route defective products for repair or recycling, and maintain inventory of supplies
