Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completed grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have consider prior experience operating a CNC machine in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team
- The candidates should be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds and a proven ability to work safely
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have possess a GED and read a tape measure and comfortable using a computer and an exemplary attendance record
- The candidates should be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications and enjoy practical work and technical activities, and possess a mechanical aptitude
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate CNC-controlled machines, as well as presses, brakes, shears, and saws
- The candidates should be able to measure and examine a sample of the machine product before making a full production run
- The candidates should be able to check machine operation and report faults to their supervisor
- The candidates should be able to propose potential quality or productivity enhancements and perform daily preventative maintenance checks on machines
- The candidates should be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and drawings and set machinery up to operate within precise parameters
- The candidates should be able to communicate with maintenance or engineering personnel regarding setup of equipment and technical issues and complete all other tasks
