Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have a high school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
Experience: Candidates should have experience in customer service
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
- The candidates should have availability to work on short notice
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5/G provincial driver’s license (or higher)
- The candidates should have a safe driving record for at least 3 years (a recent driver’s abstract or a commercial driver’s abstract dated within the last 30 days will be required)
- The candidates should have experience as a professional driver in commercial delivery
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load and unload postal vehicles while keeping mail and Canada Post property safe and secure at all times
- The candidates should be able to collect, sort, and deliver mail
- The candidates should be able to operate portable communications devices
- The candidates should be able to perform vehicle safety checks
- The candidates should be able to complete documentation and maintain records
- The candidates should be able to communicate with customers and the public
