Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have a high School Diploma or completion of equivalent education
Experience: Candidates should have 1-2 years’ experience in construction or building maintenance
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
- The candidate should have advanced proficiency in French language
- The candidate should have ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
- The candidate should have passion for the healthcare sector and a commitment to ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform general maintenance duties and scheduled preventive maintenance work on physical facilities, equipment, and grounds
- The candidate candidate should be able to assemble, move, deliver, set up, and pick up furniture and equipment
- The candidate should be able to perform general repair work on structures, patches & paints any damaged walls
- They candidate should be able to assist the Plant, Building & Safety Manager in the inspection of buildings, grounds, and equipment; carry out preventive maintenance program actions
- The candidate should be able to access PM Worx program for Preventive Maintenance schedules and process work orders
- The candidate should request necessary materials, supplies, parts, and tools required and maintain control of storage and use
- They candidate should take every precaution that is reasonable in the circumstances to ensure the health and safety of employees, residents, and all others in the workplace
