Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a High School/GED
Experience: Candidates should have 1+ years experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should hold a valid Refrigeration/Electrician/Plumbing/Appliance Journeyman level license issued by the province in which the work is performed
  • The candidates should possess a valid Driver’s License
  • The candidates should demonstrate leadership abilities
  • The candidates should be capable of providing peer-to-peer tech support
  • The candidates should have effective communication skills
  • The candidates should have experience in project management and handling stretch assignments
  • The candidates should take ownership of facility locations

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to respond to work orders for a variety of issues, including physical plant repairs (such as structural repairs, painting, roof, ceiling, walls), plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, and fuel hanging hardware repairs
  • The candidates should be able to route and prioritize their daily workload based on priority levels and SLAs, managing their workload via computer, phone, or tablet
  • The candidates should be able to manage assigned inventory of parts and tools and meet auditing expectations of +/- 1% while also managing appropriate part levels
  • The candidates should be able to appropriately maintain company vehicles and scheduled vehicle maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to accurately complete assigned work orders, documentation, and logging in and out until a work order is complete, as well as choosing the correct work order status when not complete
  • The candidates should be able to identify issues while on-site and initiate and resolve work orders when needed
  • The candidates should be able to follow up on incomplete work order statuses (such as returning with parts or additional support)
  • The candidates should be able to follow shift expectation start times defined by AFM and be available to work flexible hours upon request with reasonable notice, including unscheduled overtime or response to emergency situations
  • The candidates should be able to effectively communicate with internal and external partners
