Salary: $21.35 to $24.48 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Ottawa, ON
Shifts: Day, On Call
Transportation information: Own vehicle and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex, urban area, office building, various locations, and health care institution, facility, or clinic

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Equipment: Power tools
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be adept at handling heavy loads
• The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be known for their dependability
• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing situations
• The candidates should show initiative in taking on tasks independently
• The candidates should possess good judgment in decision-making
• The candidates should be recognized for their reliability in various work scenarios

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, and empty trash cans and other waste containers
• The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, contacting tradespersons for major repairs
• The candidates should be able to perform minor repairs on appliances, move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision
• The candidates should be able to clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
