Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of 4 year degree in Computer Science and Information Technology
Experience: Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in agile project management using JIRA and Confluence

  • The candidates should have solid skills in research, analysis, and synthesis of information and possess superlative facilitation and presentation skills to positively represent the College at conferences and outreach events
  • The candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or related field specialization in IT Service Management and IT Governance and PMP certification
  • The candidates should have at least 7 years of experience with the following technologies and processes Cross-platform mobile application development for iOS and Android using .NET or Xamarin, or Maui or C# development stack using Visual Studio or equivalent Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), Using, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure services on various platforms such as Azure and MongoDB Atlas, Web application and Web API development using ASP.NET, Blazor, and C#,
  • The candidates should have experience with DevOps using Azure DevOps or equivalent, managing pipelines, repositories, releases error handling, and code analytics platforms, Product design requirements using use-cases and CASE tools such as Visual Paradigm, Architectural design using UML and CAST tools such as Visual Paradigm and Experience with managing mobile app releases in AppStore and Google Play store
  • The candidates should have demonstrated experience leading a team of developers in a research and development environment and demonstrated experience in innovation and entrepreneurship
  • The candidates should have leadership and performance management experience and contract and intellectual property management (liability and legal) skills and work experience with broad and in-depth knowledge of current and emerging trends in mobile innovation
  • The candidates should have project management skills to manage mid-to-large-scale projects or a program of projects and an understanding of applied learning and educational teaching or learning processes and experience with various desktop applications to prepare reports, budgets, project plans, and presentations

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead the product design, development, coordination, and execution of all human development technological projects and requirements, including intersections with Sheridan learning and IT leaders, and technological platforms and services
  • The candidates should be able to lead the design architecture of human development technologies to meet institutional priorities for contemporary relevance, impactful student and staff experiences, and innovation
  • The candidates should be able to lead a team responsible for agile and concrete development of technological requirements, adhering to best practices in software engineering and Sheridan’s policies
  • The candidates should be able to contribute to the implementation of software infrastructure in architecturally significant areas with broad impact
  • The candidates should be able to organize and manage user testing campaigns and usability studies, incorporating feedback into future product development
  • The candidates should be able to drive proactive consultation and planning with stakeholders and business partners to integrate technologies effectively for a seamless learning experience at Sheridan
  • The candidates should be able to engage in regular team reflection to foster a student and human-centered design approach in technological work for student and staff development and oversee technological support approaches and services
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that development plans and activities align with Human Development leadership, program learning priorities, Sheridan IT, and learning leaders, following Sheridan’s policies and governance practices for information access, accessibility, and security, including risk analyses
  • The candidates should be able to maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends and best practices in relevant technologies through journals, professional affiliations, and conferences, acting as a knowledge translator for staff and the Sheridan learning community
